GNA's Linda Asante Agyei is GJA National Treasurer
News Date: 27th March 2013


The Ghana Journalists Association on Tuesday retained incumbent Treasurer Linda Asante Agyei, a Chief Reporter at the Ghana News Agency for a second term in office.

She polled 335 votes to beat her challenger Rosaline Koramah Amoh, a Sports Writer of the Graphic Communications Group, who got 193.

Other elected national executives were Mathias Tibu, Ghana Institute of Journalism - Vice President, and Mary Tawiah Mensah Daily Graphic - Public Affairs.

Mr Affail Monnie, of Radio News and Mr Dave Agbenu of the Ghanaian Times were elected as the The President and General Secretary respectively. Mr. Rogking Clottey, a freelance was also elected unoppsed as the Organising Secretary.

Similar elections were conducted at all the regional levels to elect regional executives for the Association.
