EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of a First Degree in Engineering or related field of study.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience.
• Must have relevant professional experience in manufacturing preferably in Component Manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must have knowledge and understanding of the Project Management.
• Must be fluent in the English language, ability to speak French is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess good conceptual and implementation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exhibit a high degree of flexibility and initiative.
• A good team player, able to work in different fields and with various teams.
• Must be independent and very organized.
• Ability to understand the options in the journey of industrialization for an infant industry.
• Must have good stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Good regional expertise in West Africa is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel in and around Africa as required.

Description
Our client, a manufacturing company has immediate employment for a Project Manager to assist in industrializing and growing the auto sector on the continent.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing the auto industry in the ECOWAS region, supporting the development of the company as a professional association and engaging effectively with a broad base of stakeholders in Africa to build and maintain profitable business relationships. He or she will also perform the following duties:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and grow the auto industry in the ECOWAS Region.
- Develop component manufacturing in the region and across Africa which will result in competitive auto value chain supply to vehicle assemblers and the replacement of imported aftermarket parts.
- Facilitate partner opportunities between existing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) component manufacturers and local manufacturers wanting to enter the OEM and aftermarket value chains.
- Arrange component manufacturing study tours within the ECOWAS Region to introduce existing manufacturers to local stakeholders from the public and private sector including potential suppliers, customers and partners.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other associations, business chamber and political institutions while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities and all other stakeholders including members and donors.
- Support the development of the company as a professional association and help the company get recognition as the voice of the automotive industry in Africa.
- Maintain a professional image that reflects positively on the image of the company and builds trust and support from all stakeholders.
- Coordinate the development of new services to create the appropriate value proposition that effectively delivers the objectives of the company and grows its membership base across Africa.
- Participate in company working groups and collaborate effectively with expert team/advisors to support your project work where required.
- Oversee the fiscal management of your specific aspect of the project including budget calculation and monitoring.
- Submit regular written reports on projects and success to the CEO while cooperating with the Regional Vice President and keeping him informed of your activities.
- Effectively see/create links between existing component manufacturers and potential partners where both partners are not necessarily from the auto industry.
- Engage effectively with a broad base of stakeholders in Africa to build and maintain profitable business relationships.
- Travel in the ECOWAS Region and Africa generally as and when required.
