The Senior Business Developer will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and
closing business relationships. This role will require planning persuasive approaches and pitches that will
convince potential clients to do business with the company. The role will also be required to plan strategically
to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services.
Identify opportunities for generating new profitable businesses
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts;
integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, including publications,
Provide feedback regarding business trends which leads to developing new services and products, and
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling
propositions and differentiators.
Initiate and complete proposals and presentation for new business opportunities
Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company
strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Provide input into strategic marketing activities for new products and enhancements to existing
products based on customer needs.
Understand the company’s goal and purpose to continually enhance the company’s performance.
Minimum of a first degree in sales and marketing
An MBA is an added advantage
Member of a professional body (an added advantage)
Leadership and strategic planning

Proven track record of developing new businesses
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of market and industry
