STX OSV Holdings Ltd., a European unit of South Korean shipbuilding conglomerate STX Group, said Tuesday that it has clinched a deal to build a platform supply vessel (PSV).
Under the deal with Norsea Group AS, a Norwegian provider of supply bases and logistics, the company will build the vessel in Norway and Romania, and deliver it in June 2012, STX OSV said in a statement.
The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
A platform supply vessel is a specially designed ship to transport goods and personnel to and from offshore oil platforms.
STX OSV, specializing in offshore plants and specialized ships, started trading its shares on the Singapore Exchange on Nov. 12 last year.
