Abii National Savings (ANS) and Loan Limited has extended its operations to Tarkwa in the Western Region with the opening of a new branch. The bank, which started from a humble beginning, has so far opened twelve branches across the country.
Speaking at the function, Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin, Executive Chairman of Tobinco Group of companies urged employees to work hard when they are given the opportunity and desist from the excessive use of social media such as Facebook, twitter and what's up.
Mr Tobbin said, these were some of the attitudes that were destroying their industry.
He said employee’s productivity in the work place was key to the change they want in their life. He pleaded with the government to support them in meeting the central bank’s directive which increased the minimum capital requirement to 15 million Ghana cedis.
He expressed appreciation to the government and his staff for their support and efforts in contributing to the success of the bank. The Tarkwa Managing Director of Abii National Savings and Loan Limited, Mr Joseph Acheampong said "Our vision is to be the most desired indigenous bank, partnering with our customers to unlock their financial potential and be seen as the key to excellent banking".
He mentioned free cheque booklets, no bank charges and free Savings booklets as benefits customers would derive if the bank with them.The Managing Director said they have a wide range of savings and loans products to suit everybody irrespective of their financial strength.
Mr Acheampong also mentioned Astenapa susu, salary loan, salary advance, controller and accountants loan and business loans as some of the attractive packages they have in stock for their customers.
He expressed the hope that with the bank's stay in Tarkwa, they would help improve upon standard of living and alleviate poverty. Mr Acheampong expressed gratitude to the bank's board for the strenuous effort made in getting them this far.
The Managing Director urged the citizens of Tarkwa and its neighbouring communities to take advantage of the gesture of bringing the bank to their doorstep. He was grateful to their customers whose loyalty had kept the bank strong and still going.
The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsueam constituency, Mr George Meriku Duker indicated that Tobinco Group of companies always placed priority on their cooperate social responsibilities.
He said "Once you are here, l know you are going to take up some of the challenges that we are facing in Tarkwa as part of your cooperate social responsibilities".
