The company, which operates the Betano in Ghana, presented the cash prize to the winner after months of participation on the platform following its launch campaign.

Speaking after receiving the prize, Mr Mill described the experience as surreal, saying he initially struggled to believe the news after receiving an email announcing his win.

“I received the email after work but ignored it at first because I thought it could be fraud,” he said.

According to him, he later received a follow-up phone call from representatives of Betano confirming the win and requesting additional details before the prize was officially processed.

Mr Mill said that he first heard about the campaign through an Instagram advertisement promoting the “Ghana’s Next Millionaire” campaign and registered before downloading the Betano app when operations officially began in Ghana.

He explained that his winning entry came through regular sports betting activities on the platform.

Speaking about his plans for the money, the winner said he hoped to grow the amount through investments and hard work while also supporting his family.

“Now the target is to become a billionaire,” he added.

Betano is operated globally by Kaizen Gaming, an international GameTech company with operations across multiple markets.
