Queueing started at about 04:30 hours in most places despite the cold harmattan winds, while the voting commenced between 07.00 hours and 07.30 hours as some polling stations had to wait for the materials before they could start.

 At the Town Council Polling Station in the Builsa South Constituency, 30 people had voted by 7:55 hours while about 50 more people waited in the queue. At the Logniisa polling station in the same Constituency, 55 people out of the 316 on the voters register had cast their ballots by 08:30 hours while 95 out of the 729 on register had voted at the Central polling station as at 08.55 hours.

The Balobia polling station and the Adda Primary polling station in the Navrongo Central Constituency had long queues of over 100 voters when voting commenced at 07:00 hours. By 07:31 hours, 24 people had cast their votes at the Namolo JSS ‘B’ polling station, while 50 voted at Sabolo polling station, all in the Navrongo Central Constituency. Both stations had over 100 people in queue.

The Paga Primary Polling Station had about 30 people in queue while 20 had voted by 08:00 hours. At the Cocoa Board Polling Station, 56 people had cast their votes at 08.20 hours. The Winkongo Old Clinic Polling Station in the Talensi Constituency recorded 28 votes out of the 324 registered voters as at 7:30 hours when the GNA visited the place.

At the Duulugu Primary Polling Station in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, 28 people had cast their votes by 08:00 hours, while eight people had voted at the Agric Polling Station in the same Constituency as at 08:17 hours. Meanwhile shops in the Bolgatanga township were closed until about 08:30 hours, as the shop owners had gone exercise their vote.
