Meek Mill was recently released from prison on bail following a Supreme Court of Pennsylvania decision to overturn his two-to-four year prison sentence for a probation violation. Now, it’s been announced that a new documentary series on Amazon Prime Video will capture “his fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system,” as Deadline reports.
The six-part series is being produced by The Intellectual Property Corporation in partnership with Roc Nation. JAY-Z was notably one of the most outspoken music industry figures on Meek’s incarceration, calling for his release in an op-ed published in the New York Times. The new series is expected to premiere in 2019.
