Tehran would be given time to consider the latest proposal from six world powers aimed at ending the dispute over its nuclear programme, the grouping said Wednesday.
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said the so-called 5+1 - Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States, plus Germany - told journalists in Almaty that the details of the offer would be made public once Tehran responds.
Ashton said the six nations were confident that the nuclear dispute would be resolved by diplomatic means, Russia's Interfax news agency reported.
