The Queen mother of Brakwa, Nana Yaa Asantiwa III, has distributed 860 exercise books to six Junior High schools in Brakwa, as her contribution towards the promotion of education in the area.
     The schools are Brakwa Presbyterian, Methodist, Roman Catholic, District Assembly, Islamic and Church of Christ.
     Making the presentation to the various schools, Nana Yaa Asantiwaa said the books were donated to the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Queen Mothers Association by Counsel Eight, a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Accra.
     Nana Asantiwaa called on the teachers to redouble their efforts in teaching, to enable the children excel in their examination, in order to
become useful future citizens in the society.
     She entreated parents and guardians to counsel their children on the importance of education and encourage them to concentrate on their books.
     The Queen mother also urged them to invest heavily in their children's  education to supplement governments.
     Nana Asantiwaa on behalf of the parents and people thanked the NGO for their kind gesture and appealed to other NGO's and benevolent organisations
to emulate the example of the NGO.
