The first flight to carry football fans to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, will leave Accra on Thursday night, June 10, 2010.
A statement signed by Mr Nii Nortey Dua, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said the second and final flight would depart for Johannesburg on Friday.
It said information on the final list of fans have been sent to the various nominating institutions and organizations and asked persons whose names were submitted to the Planning Committee to check their departure days from their institutions and organizations.
According to Nii Nortey Dua, all persons nominated by various institutions to be a part of the official group of supporters must contact
their institutions and organizations to confirm their names on the final list.
"Departure formalities for both flights will start at 0700 hours each day at the Elwak Stadium," the statement added.
The Deputy Minister also stated that there would be a durbar for all confirmed persons on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Ohene Djan Sports
Stadium at 1400 hours.
