The Women's Ministry of the Church of Christ, Mamprobi Branch, has donated items valued at GH700 to the Countryside Orphanage Home at Awutu Bawjiase.
The items included bags of rice, soft drinks, cooking oil, gari, bars of key soaps, toilet soaps, some bread, cereal and used cloths.
Making the presentation, Mrs Vida Owusu Bempah, President of the Group, said the Ministry considered the plight of orphans and challenges faced by the management of the home to care for them, hence the donation.
They assured the management of their continued support to assist the kids to become useful and production citizens in society.
Receiving the items, Madam Emma Boafo Yeboah, founder and mother of the home, expressed appreciation to the donors and called on benevolent societies and philanthropists to assist the home since it relied on benefactors to run.
Later, the group prayed for God's guidance for the children and the managers of the home and appealed to other churches, civil society groups
and corporate bodies to support the children to feel at home.
