A Proprietress at Anum Apapam in the Eastern Region, on Tuesday urged the business community and churches to help provide skill training to people in deprived areas.
Prophetess Elizabeth Quayeba Apradu, Proprietress of Maa Lizzy Future Stars Schools at Anum Apapam, Asumasu and Achiansa in the Eastern Region, called on the community and the church to assist.
"This is because the development and empowerment of unskilled youth is of a great concern to the government as they are the future leaders of the country," she said.
Prophetess Apradu, who heads the Promise Land Prayer Centre of the Christ Apostolic Church, said the initial moral training of children was the responsibility of parents and should not be relinquished to the school.
She said the moral training of children was important in order not to make them delinquent and fall victims to vices.
Prophetess Apradu said her love for children compelled her to establish the schools which had a total population of 250 pupils.
She said she was in the process of establishing a vocational school for school dropouts and street girls to give them a gainful.
