The Asamankese Circuit Court will on August 16, give judgement in a case in which Augustine Awuku, a barber, is on trial for gang raping a 15-year old school girl with two others.
The two others charged with him, Foster Adjei and one identified only as Richard are on the run.
Awuku pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to defile and defiling the girl.
Presenting the facts of the case, Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri told the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Siameh that the victim was a form one JHS girl staying with her parents at Asamankese.
She said on January 1, this year, the girl was going to Jamestown, a suburb of Asamankese on an errand when Awuku invited her into his room with the pretext of sending her.
However, when she entered the room, Awuku locked the door and with the help of Adjei and Richard who were already hiding in the room, they started struggling with the girl.
The prosecutor said having overpowered the victim, Awuku pushed her on the bed and torn her trousers and forcibly had sex with her.
After satisfying himself, Adjei and Richard also forcibly had sexual intercourse with her in turns.
They then warned the girl not to reveal the ordeal she had gone through to anybody and as such she also kept it a secret until January 8 when she started bleeding and was questioned by the mother.
When she revealed the secret, the mother accompanied her to the police station and Awuku was later arrested.
