The Odikro of Aiyinase-Nyamebekyere in the Ellembelle District, Nana Kweku Obo, at the weekend said the poor condition of the road makes them feel cut off from the rest of the district.
He said the community had been neglected for far too long and appealed to the Government to concentrate on more developmental projects in the area.
Nana Obo said this when the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Daniel K. Eshun, paid a familiarization visit to interact with the community members.
He appealed to the Assembly to support the children to get admissions into schools and award scholarships to those who were willing to pursue
education.
Nana Obo urged the DCE to help the community to establish a gari processing plant, since it was the main occupation of the people.
He also tasked the DCE to assist the community to repair the only borehole which had broken down, and to also construct a modern school
complex with computer laboratory, to make the pupils abreast with Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
On his part, Mr Eshun assured the community that their needs would be met by the Assembly in due course.
He tasked the people to call on the Assembly for assistance especially with the admission of their wards to the Senior High Schools (SHS), adding that, it was only when they passed well that the Assembly would assist them.
