Reverend Stephen Osei Sarpong, Chairperson of the Sekyere Presbytery Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has advised Christians occupying public offices to avoid corrupt practices and set good example at the work place.
He said they must be sincere, accountable and transparent adding that, they should also manifest cherished values of the Christian religion to influence change.
He said the harsh economic situation of the times must not tempt them into criminal and ungodly acts.
Reverend Sarpong was addressing the fourth national delegates� assembly of the Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) of the Church at Asante-Mampong.
He spoke on the theme: �Let us rise up and build.�
He urged members of the Church to work hard to build on the strong foundation laid by the early missionaries about 180 years ago.
Rev. Sarpong also urged them to serve the Lord in truth and help to project a good image of the Church.
The National President of the Fellowship, Mr Franklin Owusu Ansah, asked the youth to remain firm in their faith.
Rev. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor, Director for Church Life and Nurture, called for intensification of the Church�s evangelism to win more souls for Christ.
