The Ghana Highways Authority has been asked to as a matter of urgency repair the Kumasi-Bibiani road to prevent road accidents.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Minta Asare, Atwima District Commander of the Police Motor Traffic Transport Unit (MTTU), told GNA that lorry accidents occurred when drivers attempted to avoid numerous potholes on the road.
He said that Anyinamso-Betinko section of the road has become "an accident black spot" and cited that a Toyota mini-bus run into a Metro Mass
Transit bus, killing the driver of the mini-bus, Kofi Asare instantly.
ASP Minta said that earlier, an Urvan bus and a salon car crashed head-on at the same spot and the driver of the bus, Kofi Boadi, died on
arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
He cautioned drivers, who ply the road obey traffic rules and avoid speeding.
