Mr Robert Tetteh, President, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology branch of AISEC, has advised the youth to acquire employable skills to end their over-dependence on government for jobs.
AISEC, a student-run organization, provides international platform for young people to discover and develop their leadership potentials.
Mr. Tetteh was speaking at a two-day workshop aimed to boost the entrepreneurial capacity of students, at the Kumasi Polytechnic.
The event that was organised by AISEC, discussed topics including entrepreneurial awareness, identifying business opportunities, funding of business, marketing, risk management, writing business proposal and negotiating skills.
More than 50 participants from Ghana, Nigeria and China attended the workshop.
Mr. Tetteh expressed hope that the workshop would enable participants to share their experiences and venture into micro-economic activities.
