The Ajumako District Magistrate Court presided over by Mr Kwesi Boakye Enimil has sentenced Rockson Acquah, 28, to 15 months each on two counts of unlawful entry and stealing.
The sentence would run concurrently.
The prosecutor, Inspector Bismark Appiah told the court that the accused who hails from Amia now resides at Abrofoa, all in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District.
Inspector Appiah said on Thursday, October 14, this year that about 0200 hours, the accused broke into the drinking bar belonging to Madam Christiana Amoako and Papa Yaw at Eduyaw near Ajumako and stole three bottles of Guinness stout, one bottle of akpeteshie, one bottle tonic wine and a hand-sowing machine all valued at GH�164.00.
He said luck eluded the accused, who was spotted carrying the items and was arrested by the inhabitants who handed him over to the Ajumako Police and was prosecuted accordingly.
The court ordered that the sized items be returned to the owners.
