The Global Peace Association of Ghana (GloPAG) as part of its efforts to ensure unity among political parties has organised a peace float on the principal street of Akim Oda.
The walk drawn people from various departments, political parties and individuals.
At the function the Chief of Akim Asene who doubles up as the 'Adontenhene' of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area said, Ghanaians should protect the current democratic governance by developing a high sense of humanity towards one another.
Mr Joseph Donkor the Director for GLoPAG said a better foundation should be laid to promote the economy so that, posterity would stand a better chance to prosper.Reverend Paul Brako the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Association added, it was obvious that, people choose political parties for different reasons and it was therefore unfair to dictate to a person which party to vote for.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Ntoso the Akim Oda District Police Commander said all efforts were being made in spreading the message of peace and this should be backed by practical interactions.
