The course, dubbed  “ Junior Command Course 7/2017” is the 43rd batch of Officers who have under gone training at the College since its establishment five years ago.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the premises of the College after the opening ceremony, Superintendent Samuel Asiedu Okanta, Chief Coordinator of the College on behalf of Management of the Command and Staff College said, the course was part of capacity building programmes the Police Administration had designed to prepare officers to execute their duties professionally and with integrity.

 He said it was also to sharpen their professional expertise to embrace and employ new and current law enforcement strategies that would put them ahead of any situation during the performance of their duties.

According to him, the Officers would be taken through disciplines such as modern contemporary policing duties, human right, and criminal investigation.

Superintendent OKanta said Management of the College were moving towards inculcating in the officers a high level of integrity, discipline, so that, they would discharge their duties more effectively and efficiently as middle level-managers.
