He noted that it was for that reason that the government had set up a separate Ministry to handle water and sanitation challenges of the country.The Minister said this when the Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana Mr Ron Strikker called on him in Accra.

He revealed that the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation would soon organize a stakeholders’ conference to outline the Ministry’s vision and mission as well as attract key feedback and inputs from all stakeholders in order to make Ministry function better and meet the needs and aspirations of Ghanaians.

“I urge all stakeholders to come together to move the operations and objectives of the Ministry forward.  “We need to synchronize all policies into a comprehensive framework for an effective and efficient delivery,” he said.Mr Ron Strikker, the Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, on his part expressed his government’s desire to work with the current government in the provision of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects currently running until 2020.

He also urged government through the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to commission the Cape Coast water project which was also completed.  The sector Minister expressed his gratitude to the Netherlands Government for their continuous support to Ghana for the provision of the water and sanitation.
