Some aggrieved caterers of the School Feeding Programme (SFP) in the Upper East Region, have appealed to government to settle all financial payments owed them.
According to the caterers, whilst some of them took loans from the Bank, others also borrowed food stuffs from market women to prepare the meals for the school children under the SFP for the last two terms (Second and Third Terms), but had since not been paid by government.
Addressing the media here in Bolgatanga on Tuesday, the Spokesperson for the Caterers, Mr Peter Awaah, said they were being harassed by the Banks and the market women they borrowed food stuffs.
“We are therefore appealing to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Ms Otiko Afisa Djaba and the government to settle us so we could also repay our debtors
