President Akufo-Addo and Paul Polman had discussions on Unilever’s business interest and investments in Ghana and possible areas of cooperation.While in Ghana, Mr. Polman is scheduled to meet with the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori Atta to discuss Unilever’s participation in investments in the agricultural sector and the general economy as a whole.

Paul Polman will also meet the management and staff of Unilever Ghana and some of its Non-Executive Directors.Paul Polman would be accompanied by the Africa President of the business, Bruno Witvoet; Africa Director for Communications and Sustainable Business, Douglas Brew and the CEO of Sundial Brands, a recent acquisition of Unilever, Richelieu Dennis.

He is scheduled to leave for Nigeria on Wednesday on the next leg of his tour of some selected countries in Africa.Mr Paul Polman has been Chief Executive Officer since 1st January 2009. Under his leadership, Unilever has set out an ambitious vision to double its size whilst reducing its overall environmental footprint and increasing its positive social impact.

Paul is the Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum and serves on the Board of the UN Global Compact. He is also on the Board of the Global Consumer Goods Forum.
