Akufo-Addo congratulates President-Elect of Botswana

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the President of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K Masisi, following his re-election on Wednesday, October 23.

President Akufo-Addo in a tweet last Friday said, “On your clear and decisive victory in Botswana’s elections.Looking forward to working with you to strengthen Ghana-Botswana relations, and advancing our common commitments to the objectives of the objectives of the AU.Best luck and God’s blessings,” he said.

Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi is the fifth and current President of Botswana, serving since 2018.

He has also served as Minister of Education since 2014, and previously he was Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration from 2011 to 2014.

In a press release from the Republic of Botswana posted on twitter stated that the swearing-in and inauguration of His Excellency the President-Elect of the Republic of Botswana Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K Masisi will be held on Friday November 1, 2019.
