The United Nations African Institute of Economic Development and Planning (UNIDEP) will hold a free online course for media practitioners on the topic: "African Continental Free Trade Area-the Role of Journalists".
A statement signed by Mr Patrick Yaw Nimo, the Acting Chief Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the course would start from June 22 to August 14, 2020 and moderated on a weekly basis.
The course would provide a comprehensive overview of the regional trade agreement and various steps and the role of various stakeholders including the media and the private sector and other non-state actors to make it a success.
Participants are to visit https://www.unidep.org/appy to apply for the programme. The deadline for submission of completed application form is June 8, 2020.
The statement said certificates would be presented to participants who will pass all the tests and the examination by UNIDEP.
