The management of two banks in Koforidua on Tuesday presented items and cash to the New Juaben Police Command at separate ceremonies in recognition of its performance during and after the December elections.
The Home Finance Bank (HFC) and the South Akim Rural bank donated two 22-inch colour television sets and antennas and cheques for GH C300 to the police command to supplement their logistics.
The Koforidua branch manger of the HFC bank, Mr Samuel Opoku, said the banks were impressed with the high level of security alertness on the part of the police during the period.
He said as a gesture and show of appreciation they had decided to assist the police with the items and the cash to further boost their morale.
Police Superintendent John Naami, the Municipal Commander, who received the items thanked the banks for the assistance and pledged to work harder this year to ensure maximum security of the citizenry, including the corporate organizations.
