At least five people have been killed in a building collapse in southern Egypt, the official MENA news agency reported on Saturday.
Five members of a family were killed on Saturday when their house in a village in the Upper Egypt's governorate of Qina, some 450 km south of Cairo, broke down, said the report.
A five-month-old baby boy was among the victims of the collapse of the three-storey building, added the report.
Building collapse occurs from time to time in Egypt due to ignorance to building regulations.
Last October, at least 10 people were killed when an apartment building collapsed in the northern Egyptian port city of Alexandria, some 220 km northwest of Cairo.
In a similar accident in December, 2007, a 12-storey residential building broke down in Alexandria, killing some 35 people.
