Miss Agnes Nartey, The Hunger Project (THP) Animator at Pleyo Community in the Yilo Krobo District, who benefited from a Vision Commitment Action (VCA) workshop held at Somanya last year is putting into action what she had learnt.
She had organized 75 children in the community and started a kindergarten with them.
The children, who hitherto were not going to school included 44 girls, Mr George Ofori, Project Officer, told the GNA.
He said the workshop was aimed at empowering women to be able to have vision for their communities and also to make sure that the vision came into fruition.
Mr Ofori said the project, which focused on women taking the initiative, was aimed at seeing to women's participation in grassroots leadership.
He appealed to all women to avail themselves in similar workshops to enhance their leadership drive.
