The Ho branch of the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU), last Thursday mobilised about 30 members to cleanup parts of the Ho Municipal Hospital.
The clean-up was part of activities lined-up to celebrate 50 years of the Union, which groups mainly workers in the public sector including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Land Valuation Board (LVB), Statistical Service, Audit Service and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).
The group cleared weeds, swept and fixed a wobble drying line at the hospital.
The workers under the leadership of Gordon Bodza, Volta Regional Industrial Relations Officer (IRO), also cleared weed and swept the frontage of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) block in Ho, which also houses offices of the Graphic Communications Group, Ghanaian Times and the Food and Drugs Board (FDB).
Other activities to mark the anniversary were a talk on occupational health and the single spine salary structure.
