A Canadian soldier injured in Afghanistan last month has died of his injuries in a hospital in eastern Canada's Quebec City, military officials said Sunday.
The soldier was injured when he stepped on a mine while on a foot patrol near Kandahar City in June. He was evacuated back to Canada later, but was never able to regain consciousness. He died Saturday, according to a press releases from the Defense Department.
