Mr Felix Jacob Obeng-Forson, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive, has urged politicians to desist from politics of vindictiveness.
He said the time had come for political parties to stop politics of hatred, acrimony, mischief, and character assassination because these would not enhance peace and stability.
Mr Obeng-Forson said this when he addressed the Agona Swedru Bethel Presbyterian Church at Swedru.
He said when elections are over the most important thing to do is to unite as a people, forget the past and support the elected leadership.
Mr Obeng-Forson appealed to supporters of political parties not to see themselves as enemies and that it was disheartening to see supporters of political parties engaged in violence against each other.
He also paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Nyakrom Traditional Area, Okatakyi Nyarkoh Eku X at Agona Nyakrom where
he called for peace and unity in the district.
Okatakyi Nyarkoh Eku told him to seek the development of the district.
