The women's fellowship of the Dormaa-Ahenkro Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church has presented assorted provisions worth GH¢300 to patients on admission at the Presbyterian Hospital.
The presentation, which was preceded by a prayer session to provide physiotherapy for the patients, was designed to extend support and encouragement to the sick persons and their care-givers.
Presenting the items, which comprised biscuits, beverages and detergents, the fellowship's president Vida Adjei Marfo urged the inmates not to allow their ailments to weigh them down.
She appealed to well-meaning individuals and agencies in the hospital's catchments to do more to assist the hospital to enable it to cope with its rising patronage. The hospital's patronage has increased due to the Health Insurance Policy and proximity to the Cote D'Ivoire boarder.
A nurse at the children's ward of the hospital, Dayi Vida thanked the fellowship for their kind gesture and used the platform to express gratitude to all groups and individuals who continued to share in the plight of patients at the hospital.
