The Kuwait government condemned the Yemeni rebels' attack on Saudi Arabia, saying Gulf countries' national security was one and could not be divided, the official KUNA news agency reported Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are sisterly countries, having the same hopes, interests and aspirations, according to the report.
He added that Kuwait stands ready to support Saudi Arabia in preventing any further attacks.
On Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Cabinet also denounced the "criminal" acts committed by the Yemeni Houthi rebels.
Tensions flared up on the Saudi-Yemeni border as Saudi officials said on Nov. 4 that a border guard was killed and 11 others injured in an attack by a group of Houthi rebels, who infiltrated into the border area of Jabal al-Dukhan, al-Khouba district in Jazan region.
Riyadh later bombed rebel positions along the border, and said it regained control of Jabal
al-Dukhan.
