A circuit court at Asamankese, on Tuesday remanded
David Aduamah, a 25-year-old farmer, for raping a 23-year-old imbecile woman.
Aduamah, whose plea was not taken, would re=appear at court on November 18.
Police Inspector Wisdom Nuworkpor told the court that on November 1 at about 1930 hours, at Quarshie Nkwanta near Asamankese, the victim was sent by a woman to the house where Aduamah lived to collect luggage.
Prosecution said Aduamah lured her into his room and forcibly had sex with her when she went to collect the luggage.
Insp Nuworkpo said that when the accused realized that the victim was bleeding from her sexual organ, he sacked her from his room.
The woman informed her mother about her ordeal and a complaint was made to the Asamankese Police.
Aduamah in a caution statement admitted that he rapped the woman. She was admitted to the Saint Dominic Hospital at Akwatia and discharged on November 4.
