Government has been urged to monitor the ctivities
of foreign investors, who come to the country to assist local businesses but end up collapsing them.
Mr Kwabena Osei Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kick Malaria Out of Africa, made the call on Tuesday in Accra in an interview with the Ghana
News Agency.
He noted that such foreign investors must be certified by Ghana's mission abroad to ensure that they were genuine investors and not out to exploit local businesses.
Mr Osei Bonsu cited an example when he entered into partnership with a foreign investor to recycle plastics waste but he (investor) ended up
collapsing the business.
He stated that his venture was part of efforts to ensure clean environment and surroundings.
Mr Osei Bonsu congratulated the government for this year's celebration of the Farmers Day, which falls on December 4, and appealed for massive
support for the sector.
The CEO stated that apart from feeding the nation, farmers have been sustaining the country's industries through raw material production and the
generation of foreign exchange.
He urged the youth to embrace farming as a profession to produce food to feed the nation and for export.
Mr Osei Bonsu also urged them to support the call on Ghanaians to eat what they grow and grow what you eat.
