Two policemen were killed in Egypt's Qena in an armed attack on Tuesday, a security source told Xinhua.
The attack occurred when a police patrol was fired by unknown armed men. The exchange of fire left two dead -- Yasser Mohamed, a conscript, and Mohamed Hashem, a policeman in Naga Hamady city in northern Qena governorate, the source said.
The assailants fled in jeeps, and the security forces moved directly to the scene to start the investigation.
