The Brong-Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs has extended a message of congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama on his election and swearing-in as the President of Ghana.
A statement signed by Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese V, Paramount Chief of Yeji and President of the House, copied to the media in Sunyani on Thursday, commended President Mahama “for demonstrating good faith in the country's democratic process".
It expressed the hope that whilst the country would continue to be the oasis of peace in the West-African Sub-Region under his "able leadership," the President would fulfill his pledge of a partnership government for the holistic development of the country.
The statement expressed optimism that during the Mahama Presidency, "the Chieftaincy Institution would be adequately resourced to enable it to play its proper role as a partner in national development".
It assured the President of the unflinching support of the chiefs to ensure that "your office would make greater strides in all spheres of socio-economic and political development of the country".
