Ahaji Abdulai Baba, Vice Chairman of Ghana Developing Communities Association (GDCA), has called on the politicians to avoid using intemperate language during their campaigns. He said there is the need for the politicians to end insults and others forms of debasements to prevent conflicts and violence during and after the general election.
Ahaji Baba said this during 23rd Denmark seminar at Dalun Simli in the Kumbungu District of the Northern Region. The seminar was on the theme: “Ghana’s electioneering and violence; Challenging the status quo”. The event organised by the GDCA in collaboration with Ghana Friendship Groups in Denmark was to deliberate on issues concerning this year general elections.
Alhaji Baba called on traditional rulers to join hands to the fight against violence in the December elections. Madam Lone Benedicte Schroder, a member of Ghana Friendship Groups in Denmark, said migration is a very important issue which the two countries needed to address.
