The Ghana Association of Biomedical Laboratory Scientists (GABMLS) has congratulated the President- elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for emerging winners in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
“We believe that the confidence Ghanaians have reposed in you to form the new government from January 7, 2017, would be met with the responsibility of meeting our needs, and the aspirations of Ghanaians.”
This was contained in a release from the GABMLS, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday.
It said the GABMLS, as the sole professional body for all practitioners of Medical Laboratory Science in Ghana, has keenly followed the vision of the NPP to address “the myriad of challenges” confronting medical laboratory practice and health care in Ghana.
This vision entailed in your 2016 manifesto, including working with the private sector towards a world class Research and Laboratory Centre within a responsive national laboratory system, and the provision of free specialist post-graduate training in established institutions, engendered joy and hope in our membership across the country, the release said.
It said the manifesto has also attracted several positive remarks from the membership of GABMLS, and that the leadership of GABMLS, would lend its support to the realisation of “this great vision of the President-elect and the NPP, for the medical laboratory profession and health-care in Ghana”.
