“The confusion at EC apart from human relations issues, we are to blame ourselves,” he stated.

Alhaji Muntaka pointed out that “for 25 years since we started this democratic dispensation, we have not taken steps to ensure that the EC has a regulation.”

His  concerns comes after a leaked memo from the EC’s Deputy Director of Operations to the chairperson asking her  to act in accordance with structures of the Commission in what he [ Amadu Sully] describes as  non recognition of his presence by Madam Charlotte Osei.

In a letter dated July 27, 2017, Mr Sulley accused the EC Chair of dealing with the Director of Human Resource, Mr Samuel Boadu, instead of him (Sulley) contrary to the administrative procedure of the commission.

There have been accusations and counter-accusations among Mrs Osei, Mr Sulley and Mrs Georgina Opoku-Amankwah, a Deputy Commissioner of the EC, over the management of the EC.

“All these while, parliament has not ensured there is Constitutional Instrument on organisational organogram” he said

in what appears to be two against one among the six deputies at the commission, the two have accused the chairperson of single-handedly renegotiating a contract without knowledge of others breaching the procurement law.

A Petition has been presented to the Chief Justice for investigations to commence into 28 allegations leveled against her.

Alhaji Muntaka has urged the people to wait for the outcome of the investigations to establish it veracity or otherwise.
