The National Organiser aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming national delegates’ conference, Bright Essilfie-Kumi when given the nod, will initiate the establishment of an NPP National Communication Institute to train communicators of the party to enable them to articulate the party’s vision and views across the mass media landscape.
“Under my leadership as the national organiser, I will ensure party communicators will be trained in local languages and will be tasked to speak to government programmes and projects such as the Free Senior High School, School Feeding Programme, Planting for Food and Jobs and the Agenda 111 for the citizenry to appreciate the good works of the government,” he assured.
Mr Esilfie-Kumi was speaking to the Ghanaian Times in an exclusive interview in Accra yesterday on what he was bringing on board when elected.
He is contesting the position with five others including the Member of Parliament for Tema East, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover.
According to the National Organiser aspirant, “we will issue the communicators with identification cards upon completion to give them credibility after which they will each be assigned unique passwords to enable them to log in to the national platform where dossier of materials are stored from which they will source their information to be able to explain issues.
“Issue of TESCON which is the student wing of our party at the tertiary institutions across the country will be one of my top priorities under my leadership as national organizer, I will move it to global level where we will have for example TESCON China, Japan, USA, UK among others through which the party will give them opportunity to pursue post-graduate degrees in processes preparing them for future leadership roles.
“Every Chief Executive Officer will adopt one TESCON member to support, assist financially and also serve as mentor to them additionally, I will also institute one TESCON one business module, an initiative to serve as an income generating vehicle in all TESCON establishments,” Mr Essilfie-Kumi touted.
As part of the his programme, when voted to power would be to organise national and international diasporan healing tour meant to reconcile and heal political wounds all meant to make the party a formidable force after the elections.
