Gyan has scored five times in six matches in all competitions for his loan club Al Ahli, prompting the club to make moves towards making the deal permanent.

Gyan, 30, won the top scorer award twice in his previous stint between 2012-15 with Al Ain.

“For now I am doing well for my club, I have been able to score a couple of goals for them,” Gyan said in an interview on Hot FM.

“I just hope I maintain my form. It is not going to be easy but I hope to win the goalking title at the end of the season. There are some good player in the League as well so is not going to be easy but I hope I win it.”

Former Sunderland striker, Gyan, has scored twice in four games for Al Ahli and trailing the leading scorers chart behind Ali Ahmed Mabkhout of Al Jazira who has five goals.
