Wednesday was another bumper night in the NBA with 20 teams taking to the hardwood. Klay Thompson led the Golden State Warriors to a hard-earned victory over the Chicago Bulls and in the process, became the first player to make 150 three-pointers this season.
Warriors tame Bulls
A 38-point game from Klay Thompson saw the Golden State Warriors beat the Chicago Bulls 119-112. Stephen Curry had 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Kevin Durant finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Bulls were led by Nikola Mirotic with 24 points and six rebounds, Kris Dunn had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists, and Robin Lopez also had 16 points with four rebounds.
Spurs rip Nets
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Brooklyn Nets 100-95 on the back of LaMarcus Aldridge’s 34 points and eight rebounds, Patty Mills had 25 points, and Pau Gasol ended the game with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Allen Crabbe led the Nets with 20 points and eight rebounds, Joe Harris had 18 points, Caris LeVert had 13 and DeMarre Carroll had an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Raptors break Pistons
The Toronto Raptors beat the Detroit Pistons 96-91. Jonas Valanciunas had a 17-point, 16-rebound double-double, CJ Miles had 21 points and four rebounds, and Kyle Lowry had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
The Pistons were led by Andre Drummond with a 25-point, 17-rebound double-double, Avery Bradley had 19 points, and Tobias Harris ended the game with 12 points and four rebounds.
Heat burns Bucks
The Miami Heat beat the Milwaukee Bucks 106-101 on Hassan Whiteside’s 27-point, 13-rebound double-double, Goran Dragic had 15 points, four rebounds and five assists, Kelly Olynyk also had 15, and Josh Richardson finished with 14 points and six rebounds.
Khris Middleton led Milwaukee with 25 points and five rebounds, Nigerian-Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double, while John Henson also finished with a double-double with 10-points and 10 rebounds.
The Rest
Steven Adams had a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in Oklahoma City Thunder’s 114-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Washington Wizards 133-109 on Dwight Howard’s 18-point, 15-rebound double-double, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 94-93, Blake Griffin’s 20-point, 12-rebound double-double in the Los Angeles Clippers 109-104 victory over the Denver Nuggets, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the New York Knicks 105-99, and the Utah Jazz defeated the Sacramento Kings 120-105 on the back of Donovan Mitchell’s 34 points.
