Ghana’s Duke Micah would now face Thomas Snow of the United States of America (USA) in the second defence of his World Boxing Council (WBC) International Batamweight title at the Kings Theater, Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, June 9.
Micah, (21-0, 18 KOs), was supposed to fight Frenchman Yoan Boyeaux, but the fight was postponed twice and later cancelled due to overweight on the part of the Frenchman.
The fight against Snow (19-3, 12 KOs), would be Micah’s second fight in USA, since he made his debut last November against Jose Santos
Gonzalez, which he won through a majority decision.
Snow’s last fight was seven months ago when he got a unanimous decision over Stephon McIntyre.
Micah said though he was disappointed with the previous fight, taking on Snow would be a good fight for him.
“I trained so hard for the bout against Boyeaux, I naturally felt unhappy when it was postponed, but am happy there is an opponent for me now,” he added.
