In the final event of the day, Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay set a world leading time of 3:57.64 to win the women's 1,500m. Britain's Laura Muir also posted a season's best to finish second in 3:58.53, but could have finished closer to her rival had she timed her late surge better.
