Delighted Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa claimed "that is why nothing compares to football" after seeing Kemar Roofe score twice in stoppage time to dramatically beat Blackburn Rovers.
For the second game in succession, top scorer Roofe popped up with a decisive intervention to give the Championship leaders an almost unbelievable victory, having also scored Leeds' 95th-minute winner at Aston Villa on Sunday.
"There was a lot of unnecessary stress to win the game," said Bielsa. "We deserved to win, but it should have been easier.
"We had the obligation to win which was not the case at Aston Villa. But we could have lost it at the end as well.
"It was moving for all of us. Football can give these emotions. That is why nothing compares to football.
"Late wins like this are important because it is not easy to win games in the a tight league like the Championship."
Rovers looked to have won the game themselves when, in the 90th minute, Rovers skipper Charlie Mulgrew scored his second goal of the afternoon to put the visitors 2-1 up with a long-range free-kick.
But Roofe fired in from close range after a scramble to equalise, before then heading in a right-wing cross to complete the turnaround.
Leeds' seventh straight win took them three points clear of second-placed Norwich, who came from 3-0 down to draw with Nottingham Forest.
They had gone in front just before half-time when Rovers defender Derrick Williams sliced Jack Harrison's left-wing cross into his own net.
But that was cancelled out two minutes into the second half by Mulgrew's penalty after the Scotland international had himself been fouled inside the box by home skipper Luke Ayling.
Rovers, who slip to 14th, were on course for a first away win since 6 October but, having failed to hold on, they are now without a win in four games.
"It is a quiet dressing room," said Rovers boss Tony Mowbray. "I am proud of the team and the way they played and the effort and desire they showed. We took Leeds all the way.
"We are not far away from being a good side, we worked extraordinarily hard and Leeds are a great team. But we managed to throw it away in added time.
"The game management was not there. We should have seen the game out and slowed the game down at the end. We needed to get hold of the ball and stop it coming back. We needed to be braver. It is a lesson to be learned.
"Stats add up. It's been a while since we got a win. We have hard fixtures coming up but, if we show the same qualities, we will be ok."
