WAFA SC maintained their unbeaten run in the NC Special Competition after beating Karela FC 2-1 in their Match day 4 game played in Sogakope on Wednesday.
The midweek win saw the Academy lads leapfrog above Karela to top the Premier B table with 8points.
Augustine Boakye and Daniel Owusu were both on target for WAFA with Solomon Sarfo Taylor's consolation goal giving him his second goal on four days.
In another Premier B game, Joseph Esso scored twice against his former side with Bright Lukman also getting a goal against his former team in Hearts of Oak's 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Stadium.
The other game between Elmina Sharks and Liberty Profeasionals ended goalless with Dreams FC going away to Tema on Thursday as guests of Inter Allies.
Elsewhere in Premier A, Asante Kotoko beat their regional rivals Asantigold 2-0 to maintain their position on top of the log.
Abdul Fatawu Safiu scored twice to hand the Porcupine warriors a priceless win in the cagey encounter played at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Abdul Rahman Fatawu was also on target again at the Golden City Park to help a Aduana Stars in their lone goal away victory over Berekum Chelsea.
The biggest result on Wednesday came at the Tarkwa T &A park with Medeama SC beating Bechem United 3-2.
Sylvester Amoah's own goal opened the scoring before Joseph Zutah and Kwame Boateng adding to the tally for the home side with Prince Adu and Emmanuel Boakye getting two back for the Hunters.
The next round of matches in the special competition will be played over the weekend.
