Rapinoe also won the Golden Ball, awarded to the tournament's top player.

England's Lucy Bronze finished runner-up to Rapinoe, earning the Silver Ball award.

Germany's 20-year-old midfielder Giulia Gwinn was named the tournament's best young player, while Netherlands keeper Sari van Veenendaal won the Golden Glove award after she made eight saves in the final.

The Fair Play award went to hosts France for picking up the fewest bookings.
