Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kidodia has hinted that Ghanaian international Richard Ofori is on his way out of the club.
The Maritzburg boss pointed out that they had received an offer from Orlando Pirates for the Ghanaian shot stopper and the deal could be completed in the coming days as talks are ongoing.
"I can now confirm that we've allowed Orlando Pirates to begin talks with Richard Ofori," Kadodia told the media.
"Once the deal is concluded they will make an announcement."
Ofori, who is the skipper of Maritzburg United, was the club's leading player last season, having kept 11 clean sheets and conceded 27 goals in 28 games.
Despite having one year left on his contract, Maritzburg maintained that no impediment would be put on his way if any good offer comes.
He has also been linked with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Supersport United in the ongoing transfer window.
Ofori was nominated for both the best goalkeeper and the best player awards in the South African topflight last season.
